Of course it’s in Florida.
Similarly, why is there a die cast FWD Monte Carlo?

I’m used to Johnny Lightning making ridiculous small size die-casts. Big ones - new one on me.

Why did Chrysler even bother making actual LeBarons?

You mean outside of saving the company in the 80’s?

These were actually quite nice too. The Monte had the correct supercharged 3800 series 2

Maybe someone’s trading their MG for a white Crhysler LeBaron?

I actually think this is awesome.
The real car? Not so much....but that diecast is actually really cool. Maybe it’ll have build quality reminiscent of the era...like a wheel falling off, or the paneling delaminating...

Because to southern folks a FWD Monte Carlo is a desirable car, especially one of those NASCAR editions.

Without the Lebaron there wouldn’t have been a Viper.

I would SO buy a 1978-81 LeBaron T&C. Especially a pre-80 model with the 360-4v. RWD M-body wagons FTW!!!

They may not make cars that you like, they make not make cars that you would buy, they may not make cars that you consider good. That doesn’t mean that they weren’t worth saving. The conditions of the bailout loans of 1980 were very different than the meltdown in 2008ish. Had Chrysler not been saved by the loan guarantees that Lee Iacocca negotiated in 1979 the auto industry would be a much different landscape. Like EssExTee says, the Viper would never have been created. The minivan segment may not have ever been born. Those are huge events that happened in the auto industry simply because Chrysler was saved in the 1980’s. That doesn’t even consider the human cost of tens of thousands of people losing their jobs.

10/10, if I owned a LeBaron, I’d buy that die cast LeBaron.
I’ve been looking for a die cast 3rd generation Elantra. Can find in sedan. Can’t find in hatchback. Snad.

I like the Countryman, though.
